perfmon.exe

perfmon.exe opens Performance Monitor (MMC). Several flows expose Explorer file dialogs (Open/Save/Browse), which are effectively the Explorer shell UI.

Import Data Collector Set (Explorer dialog)

Try Example
File Explorer GUI

  1. Press Win-R

  2. Type perfmon and press Enter

  3. Expand Data Collector Sets > User Defined

  4. Right-click User Defined > Import…

  5. When the file picker opens, navigate as instructed

Mitigations:

  • Distrust unsolicited requests to import templates or browse shares
