MRT.exe is the native Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.

Remove Computer Virus

Try Example
UAC MOTW File Explorer

Your computer is infected with a virus! Use the official Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool:

  1. Press Win-R on your keyboard.

  2. Type MRT and press Enter to open the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.

  3. Click Yes when prompted.

  4. Click Next to continue.

  5. Select the third bullet, Customized Scan

  6. Click the Choose folder button.

  7. Press Ctrl-L to focus the address bar.

  8. Press Ctrl-V to paste our configuration

  9. Press Enter to submit

Once you have completed these steps your computer should be clean from viruses.

Clean Malicious Software
